The Henrietta Stockdale Nursing College and the Historical Society of Kimberley in the Northern Cape will be presenting the second Henrietta Stockdale Commemorative day and Memorial Lecture. The event is scheduled to coincide with the date of her death on 6 October 1911.
The first event was a great success and the memorial lecture was given by Professor Busisiwe Bhengu, the President of the South African Nursing Council. This year the lecture would be presented by Prof Hester Klopper – Chief executive officer FUNDISA.
We hope to see you there!

In 1991 a Henrietta Stockdale Memorial Lecture was delivered in commemoration of South African nursing's Centenary Year celebrations (1891-1991). The speaker was professor Charlotte Searle. Attached is a scanned copy of the article published in the January 1992 (vol 7 no 1) Nursing RSA Verpleging magazine.
Were any other Henrietta Stockdale memorial lectures presented between 1991 and the one delivered in 2015 by Professor Busisiwe Bhengu? Would it not be priceless if we can create a list of these lectures delivered, the speakers and copies of the lectures?
